Hi,
I found recently the Kangxi Zidian online under http://www.kangxizidian.com/index2.php ... and I was happy, even if I have the printed edition in custody.

But since some times all the pics are gone. Does anybody know why or can anybody say, what there might be as informations about any technical or legal problems?

It is still there. And it is working when I use Microsoft browser
to look at it.

However, the site does not appear to work well when I use
Firefox browser to access it.

It seems that there are a number of sites with this kind of trouble.
I am studying it and hopefully will find out why.

In the meantime, use IE browser.

BTW, if you have not seen this before, I recommend that you
give it a try. Very promising.

Hi,
IE Browser doesn't help in any way. I have IE version no. 7. ... I am sad about this.

It works. You are not doing it correctly.

(1) Go to the site.
(2) click on 全文檢索
(3) enter one or more words, separately by commas.

Try it again.

This site is not the completed work. It is far from complete.

One of the planned function is 扫描图, which is not done yet.

You can use it to look up individual words only.

Use the function 全文檢索 only.

But when you look up an individual word, it may not have its
definition yet.

As I said, this is not a completed work. My guess is that it
may take a long time for this site to be completed.

Dear Ming!

Thank you for your advices. The functions work as you say. What I miss is the collection of images from the printed edition of the dictionary. The reason why I ask is, because I am especially interested in the zhuanshu forms. Fortunately I do have the Kangxi Zidian as a 1959 printed edition, bound in traditional way as 6 volumes.
