I have couple of questions regarded to the poem "Spring" written by Li Dazhao.
In the poem "Spring", Li ingenously related the natural seasons with the human society. He clearly shown his political view in his poem.
What does he mean by that "China was established to give birth to Confucious, then China declined" ???
How Li Dazhao viewed the history of China??
Does he viewed China is in a stage of winter?? Why?
If he viewed China is in a stage of winter, only the youths of China can bring Spring time back to China. What is springtime China??
Maybe very few of you ever read Li Dazhao's works. But if you understand his poem "spring", PLEASE help me out.
Thank you

Li Dazhao (李大釗) was one of the founding members of the Chinese
communist Party, as well as an important member of Kuomingtang
Party. At the time, revolutionists are subject to government persecutions
and arrests. He wrote a great deal and was chief editor of many
underground magazines. He wrote for politics and for revolutions.
You would miss the point if you take words in his writings at their
face values (as dictionary defines them). |
