人力车夫

日光淡淡，白云悠悠
风吹薄冰，河水不流
出门去雇人力车街上行人来往多
车马纷纷，不知忙些什么？
人力车上人，个个穿棉衣，个个袖手坐，
还觉得风吹冷不过。
车夫单衣以破，他却汗珠儿颗颗往下堕。

The piece of poetry is entitled "the riksha man" and it tells how he carries his load through a cold and windy day with a pale (indifferent) sun and far-stretched white clouds, so icy that the river's frozen waters don't flow. Then the atmosphere in the streets with horse carts passing one after another and pedestrians coming and going is described, and those sitting on the riksha(s) in warm clothings nevertheless feeling the chilly wind, whereas the riksha man, in his thin and worn-out clothes, is having sweat pearls running down on him...
