Thank you for reminding me of this festival. This festival is not remember as much, probably because there isn't a public holiday. Young children were not told the story of the shepherd boy and the spinster maid. I think schools teachers are too busy trying to get through children's school curriculum and young mothers don't even know background of Qixi festivial. I can't remember how we used to celebrate this day, when I was very young (that's a long long time ago ) my mother asked us to prepare a mirror, scissors, bowl of water etc but not sure what did we do with them. I am going away to find some material on the web or books,
