This week, Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson from the U.S.
came to China for an important meeting with the Chinese
officials. He first stopped in Hangzhou, where the famous West
Lake is to speak with Zhejiang Province officials.
Here is a photo of the meet.
Across the top are the words 居竹水
Reading from right-to-left, it means "Stream Bamboo Rest"
On the two columns are the duilian (reading from top down):
水抱山田一角湖天留别业
竹间花下百年桑海话斯人

Warmly welcome Henry M. Paulson to China!
Hangzhou is the capital city of Zhejiang province, not Zheliang. I once sent a post about the spelling of "Taijiquan" in other languages, as Alfred said "There are many different 'wrong' spellings all over the wrold in every nation, one should at least follow the common ways of Chinese romanizations." Is Zheliang the result of Chinese romanization when foreigners talk about Zhejiang?

Dear Yunwei:
It is not proper to use the term 'foreigner', just as
it is not proper to use the term 'natives' 土人.
This web site is for the citizens of the world.
Think about this for at least one hour. |

Another bit of recent history.
President Richard Nixon 尼克松 stayed here during his trip to
China in 1972. |

President Richard Nixon had a trip to China on Feb 21,1972, when he set feet on the mainland of China for the aim of world peace.
When he shook hands with Premier Zhou, He realized that one epoch ended and one new epoch began.
In addition, I want to insert one image for this event , but I don't know how to do it. For help!

I passed the examination of the high education of China in the summer of 2003, however, I did not get a good mark satisfied me. I entered the medical gate of Xinxiang Medical college that year. Until now I have spent more than three years college experience here. I am rich in medicine day by day, of course, these make me tired, because there is still much medical knowledge awaiting me to learn.
When talking about the medical education in China at present, I feel that the further distance compared with Western medical education is still existing, and it is confirmed by the education I accept. I am eager to go abroad to experience their medical education one day, maybe in the near future. _________________ I am a chinese medical student.
