I was wondering how much you guys know about the pyramids in China, especially the so called white pyramid? Not much is covered in the western media about them and I was wondering if the situation is different in China itself? How many are there? Can they be attributed to any of the known dynasties or are they even older? Thanks for any feedback and information.

Chinese pyramids found around Xian (north easterly) are tombs of Chinese emporers of the Han Dynasty.

Three Stage Earth mount alters built in pre-historic times (Lianjue Culture 良渚文化) are found in towns south of Hang Jou (杭州). These type of alters are very similar to the Azetac pyramids.

An interesting article published in WenWu Cultural Relics (2009 - 4) illustrates the Imperial Tombs of Western Han follows a straight line along the North Bank of Wei River (渭河) flowing from a south west to a north easterly direction.

From the most westerly tomb, the Mou Tomb of Emporer Wu (漢武帝茂陵), aka White Paramid, to the Chang Tomb of Emporer Gaozu Liu Bang (漢高祖劉邦長陵)located directly north of Xian City, the straight line rises at a 21 degree angle.

According to the author Yang Zhefeng 楊哲峰, the alignment of the imperial tombs of Westgern Han probably followed a pre-determined plan by the early Han emperors.

A major difference is that the Chinese pyramids are not exposed but
buried. Do a search on Google will show a great deal of information
as well as a lot of un-informed junk.

China is not very well known for its Pyramids but though China has a large number of pyramids, possibly over a 100. Most of them are located in a 70-mile area around the city of Xi'an. This has mostly been unknown by the out side world.
